The concept is fun, but the experience was not at all what we had hoped for. The crowds meant much more "waiting" than "doing" for kids, and there was almost no staff out on the floors to restock items or explain things. Many areas were very chaotic and noisy. Even the lovely gift shop was trying... took 15 minutes to check out due to only two cashiers to handle a long line of customers. Enjoyed the visit to the actual Crayola factory years ago much more.
We come here once per year as a part of our family vacation time. It's good fun for the whole family with enough variety to keep everyone entertained without being exhausted at the end! We got to watch a couple of shows this go around, and they had added / changed a few areas since the last time we were here. Recommend coming to Crayola at least once.
Good place to visit with the kids, lots of interactive exhibits. It does tend to get very busy the later in the day it gets, so try to get there early. When it gets busy it becomes kind of a madhouse with a lot of kids pushing and shoving. You may have to wait very long in line to do some of the interactive exhibits. But if you get there early enough, right when they open, you should be able to go through pretty much all the floors before it gets too crazy. They have a really nice gift shop with tons of Crayola things to get. I would avoid going to the cafeteria in the Crayola Experience and just go to one of the local restaurants nearby.
Shockingly great value for the cost! Very few extra expenses and those extras tend to be cheap when you do have to pay (often $.50!) Lots to do for the pre-K set but fun for toddlers and bugs kids too! They need to restock the soap in public spaces and could deep clean a bit in others. But it was not dirty by any stretch. Really fun for a couple hours or a whole day. So happy to have a membership. Will be back.
The kids had a great time. Purchased the tickets online and saved some money. A lot of creative opportunities for the kids to play and learn. The cafeteria was decent, but I would bring my own food next time. We went on a Saturday, but next time we will try during the week. It got busy real fast and the lines got long. Overall, it was worth the trip.
