I got custom orthotics to deal with my plantar and a TENS unit (which did nothing to help me). Still, I tolerated it.
Stupidity, lack of consideration, lack of organization, and quite frankly a doctor with a lousy bedside manner. I gave them 2 stars because the support staff there was quite nice. It isn't enough to make me go back though. I'd rather pull down a hornet's nest while wearing a speedo.
The day of my surgery I was very upset and crying ( anxiety thing remember ) and the doctor told me a joke to make me laugh . Ok so the joke wasnt that good HA but he was wonderful to have done that for me .He has the kindest heart and a welcoming attitude .
I went to PA Foot & Ankle because they advertised on WAEB and felt comfortable with their clients. Dr. Teichman rushed in and out of the office the three times I saw him. I understand they have a business to run, but I don't like being rushed when I have questions. Still, I tolerated it.
Some years ago I fell and tore a ligament in my ankle .Dr Saka did the surgery and I can barely see the scar .
Then there was a $432 bill that I owed the office. Fine, I would have paid for it, but PA Foot & Ankle doesn't just have the worst billing process in the world; it doesn't even have a process. I was told a year after the bill was due I owed them money. I was told only after I went into their office. I asked if they were sure, since it seemed like a long time and I had received no bill. Their office manager told me she'd look into it and call me.
I suffer from an anxiety disorder and the staff and the Doctor made me feel so comfortable and they treat me like family . .
So I called their office and told the new office manager I would pay the bill to his office, but not to the Collection Agency. It's just the principle of the matter. I told him I didn't wish to deal with an agency given the circumstances. So what does he do? He has the agency call me at WORK, two days after I told him 1) I would pay his office, and 2) I didn't want to deal with collections.
There are things I can tolerate and things I can't about a doctor's office.
No call. I figured I was in the clear and they were in error.
I finally did get a bill which I paid. And a week after I paid they haven't even cleared the check.
In this day and age to find a place that takes care of you this well and with this much pride is unique . thankyou all very much
ALWAYS late (Im sitting in a room 20 minutes past my appointment time), but the doctor’s got time to answer his cell phone EVERY time it rings. Yes...there’s “staff” with an office line upfront.
Two years after the billing date, I get my first piece of mail regarding the balance... From a COLLECTIONS AGENCY. Yes, that's right. Teichman's idea of billing is sending you to collections on the first notification, two years after the fact.
The girls in the office are so sweet and fun and I enjoy them as well .
